Executive Director
Brian Casey is Executive Director for the Irish Emergency Alliance and is responsible for establishing and managing each appeal from the moment of decision to launch until it is successfully wound down and closed out.
Brian has over 20 years’ experience designing, managing and monitoring humanitarian programmes having worked in over 25 disaster-affected countries across a broad spectrum of natural and human-made crises. He has extensive experience in advising aid organisations on how to establish emergency programmes efficiently and effectively, conducting independent evaluations and providing business development support within the not-for-profit sector.
Prior to his involvement in the humanitarian sector, Brian worked in the media industry for 9 years. He is a qualified accountant, holds a degree in Business and Finance and has a first-class Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action.
Fundraising and Communications Officer
Hermon is the Fundraising and Communications Officer at the Irish Emergency Alliance, leading initiatives to enhance brand awareness, corporate and public engagement, and support. With 9 years of experience in strategic fundraising and leadership, she has held key roles at Concern Worldwide and currently serves as a Fundraising Advisor with Caplor Horizons UK. Hermon also sits on the board of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Ireland, providing strategic oversight. Her expertise includes strategic and corporate partnerships, donor insights, and digital marketing, all grounded in ethical principles. She holds a bachelor's degree in History and Politics, along with certifications in PSM Scrum Master, PRINCE2 Project Management, and Digital Marketing. Passionate about leveraging technology for good, Hermon is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and driving impactful change in the global humanitarian sector.
Admin and Fundraising Support Officer
Ana is the Admin and Fundraising Support Officer at the Irish Emergency Alliance. With a background in fundraising and international relations, she supports the Fundraising and Communications teams. Ana holds a Master's degree in Gender, Politics, and International Relations from University College Dublin, focusing on emergencies and conflict. Her experience includes roles at Oxfam and Amnesty International, where she honed her skills in fundraising and advocacy. Ana's dedication to humanitarian work stems from her teaching background and a commitment to making a tangible impact in emergency contexts. She is passionate about efficiently mobilising resources to aid affected populations, aligning with the Alliance's mission to save and rebuild lives swiftly and effectively.
