Together we are Stronger. Together we are Making an Impact.
Thanks to the €1.1 million raised by the Irish public, the Irish Emergency Alliance was able to reach tens of thousands of Ukrainains forced to flee their homes following the Russian invasion. The seven Irish agencies and their local partners responded across Ukraine as well as reaching Ukrainian refugees in Romania, Poland and Moldova.
The combined Irish Emergency Alliance response included the support for shelters, and community centres, as well as providing cash, food, medicine and other essentials including warm clothing and bedding. Thousands of Ukrainian children were also provided with emotional support.
Nearly one year into the conflict, there are still 18 million Ukrainians in need of aid and more than 13 million people unable to return to their homes. This includes 5.4 million displaced inside Ukraine and another 8 million Ukrainians living as refugees elsewhere in Europe.
Irish Emergency Alliance funding provided support to affected communities in Ukraine and provide accommodation and other forms of support to refugees in Slovakia and Poland.
